Quoting questions
What file types can I upload?
PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, SolidWorks and Inventor files, ZIP archives and images such as JPG and PNG. If you have a 3D model, send it: we design our tooling directly from customer 3D data.
How large can my files be?
Files up to 25 MB each, 5 per request. To send more files, combine them in a ZIP. For larger files, email sales@met-l-tec.com.
What should I include in my request?
The part or system, materials, quantities, cycle time or tolerances, and when you need it. Drawings, 3D models, photos of an existing part or line, or a written description all help.
Are my drawings kept private?
Yes. Uploaded files are stored in a private folder that only Met-L-Tec staff can download, and we use them only to quote your project. Our privacy policy has the details.
Can I visit the shop?
Yes. Customers are welcome to stop in and see our equipment. Ask your Met-L-Tec contact to set up a visit.
